Privacy Policy
Deeplink Tester — App Links
Effective date: October 26, 2026
This privacy policy describes how Deeplink Tester ("the App", "we", "our") handles information when you use our Android application. We are committed to protecting your privacy and being transparent about our practices.
1. Information We Collect
1.1 Data Stored Locally on Your Device
The App stores the following data locally on your device only. This data is never transmitted to our servers.
- Links: URLs you test, save, import or group into collections, with timestamps and the app that opened them, to provide History, Saved and Collections.
- Templates and test suites: link templates you create and the collections you run as suites.
- App preferences: your settings, such as theme and launch options.
- Home-screen widget, shortcuts and Quick Settings tiles: these read your recent links on the device to show and re-open them.
You can delete all locally stored history at any time from the Settings screen.
1.2 Camera Access
The App requests camera permission solely for:
- Scanning QR codes and barcodes to extract URLs.
- Capturing text via OCR (optical character recognition) to detect URLs.
All camera processing happens entirely on your device using Google ML Kit's on-device models. No images, video, or camera data are transmitted to any server.
1.3 Network Requests You Start
- Redirect tracer: when you trace a link, the App requests that link and follows its redirects, contacting each host along the way, just as a browser would.
- App Links verifier: when you verify a domain, the App downloads that domain's public
/.well-known/assetlinks.json file.
- Local network: the App asks for local network access only when you trace a link on a private address (for example a development server on your Wi-Fi).
These requests go directly from your device to the hosts you choose. Nothing is sent to us.
2. Third-Party Services
The App integrates the following third-party services, each governed by their own privacy policies:

- Analytics data: Retained by Firebase according to Google's data retention policies.
